If we are using boxing terms, the Omega Seamaster Diver 300m might be the best pound for pound dive watch on the market. The current models are equipped with calibre: Omega 8800 movement. The 8800 is arguably superior in every way to 95% of all other dive watches on the market, including the Rolex Submariner, and costs a fraction of the price. Omega’s investment in their new movements have really improved the value proposition of Omega watches. The 8800 movement has a co-axial escapement, has a power reserve of 55 hours, is anti-magnetic up to 15,000 gauss, and is a master chronometer.
Omega watches really do have a great feel to them. When I tried on the new collection at my local AD, Moyer Fine Jewelers, I could instantly feel the quality on the first touch and on the wrist. The one thing that I’d wish Omega would do with this collection is ditch the helium escape valve. It’s a large feature that virtually no one will ever use. Overall we would recommend this Omega watch to anyone that wants a serious dive watch that will last a lifetime.
Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra
The Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra is one of the more fun Omega watch collections. There is a ton of variety in some very interesting color combinations. Three hand date models dominate this collection and are also equipped with the calibre: Omega 8800. Most watch enthusiasts compare the Aqua Terra series with the Rolex Datejust. In-short, it makes perfect sense. They are both beautiful watches with newly released movements that demand respect and attract attention. What we personally love about this Omega watch collection is that it’s an amazing watch that can be worn everyday that will last a lifetime. The value proposition is strong, which has led it to be one of the most popular Omega watches.

This robust collection offers many different models and complications that fit any style/need. The Omega Planet Ocean supports a 600m water resistance rating and a master chronometer movement. Personally, the Omega Tresor might be my favorite of all the Omega mens watch collections. When it comes to dress watches, the Omega Tresor checks all the boxes and more. It’s a symbol of style and elegance that is worth wearing at any formal event. Out of all the Omega watches, this one might be the least talked about but that is what makes this our hidden gem. Compare the Omega Tresor to other similar type dress watches and the comparisons aren’t even close. The stainless steel models start at $6,500 USD and can stand next to competitors that cost 2-3x that amount.
Omega Globemaster
The Omega Globemaster is one of the newest Omega watches released and has seen a rapid rise in popularity since its launch. Between the Tresor and Globemaster, Omega should always be part of anyone’s shortlist for a dress watch. The Omega Globemaster, in particular, in rose gold is just outstanding. This watch covers all of the must haves of any mens dress watch and more.
