An unexpected Omega 2022 release came for the Speedmaster ’57 collection. These watches weren’t released long ago and they were already reissues of the Speedmaster’s launched in 1957. What we got with the new 2022 Omega Speedmaster ’57 is an excellent execution of colorful dials. Obviously bringing more color to their collections, like in the Aqua Terra line, Omega has shown its cards for what they believe the market wants.

Needless to say, even if not many were asking for new Omega Speedmaster ’57 watches, these watches have been a hit within the Omega community. This is just the latest of well designed and thoughtful watches released by Omega over the last couple years. The new 2022 Omega Speedmaster ’57 is on par with everything else Omega has improved, like the Green Seamaster 300m, and is delivering superior value.

Dial Colors For The Updated Speedmaster ’57

The dials on the new 2022 Omega Speedmaster ’57 is what everyone is talking about surrounding this watch. We were blessed to have 4 new dials for this collection which are the following; deep blue, red, forest green, and a layered black dial. Each of the new colored dials have the option of a stainless steel bracelet or a matching color leather strap.

Expected Demand

We expect the new black dial reference to be the most popular because of the recessed hour markers that have the faux patina. Outside of that, it’s really hard to say which one of the color dials will be the biggest hit. If we were to guess, it’s most likely the red dial.

We don’t foresee any of these watches commanding a waitlist but don’t expect to buy them at a major discount. Demand for all Omega watches are on the rise, which is making them slightly harder to source and more expensive to buy.

Pricing & Availability

The cost of the new Omega Speedmaster ’57 watches of 2022 are $8,300 MSRP for the leather strap references and $8,600 for the stainless steel bracelet references. Although these watches were announced in March of 2022, they are not expected to hit Omega authorized dealers until the middle of the summer at the earliest.
