Our Calibre Omega 8916 Master Chronometer review dives deep into what makes this 60 second sub dial special and why it’s important to Omega.

The 60 Second Sub Dial Reference Calibre Omega 8916 Movement Has Propelled The Aqua Terra Collection Forward

The new Omega Aqua Terra Small Seconds collection is equipped with the new in-house Calibre Omega 8916 automatic movement. The Calibre Omega 8916 was developed to provide a 6 O’Clock 60 second sub dial for the Aqua Terra collection.

We’re confident that the Calibre Omega 8916 will be rolled out to other collections in the future because of the initial response to the release of the the new Aqua Terra Small Seconds watches.

Calibre Omega 8916 Accuracy

The accuracy of the Calibre Omega 8916 is 0/+5 seconds per day. On the surface that doesn’t seem as accurate as the Rolex calibres but that number includes the average of the entire Master Chronometer Certification. That 0/+5 seconds per day rating takes into account extreme conditions. Under normal conditions one could safely assume it’s much much better and when you add into account the anti-magnetic features of the Calibre Omega 8916 movement, this movement is far superior to competitive brands in the watch community.
