Rolex 124060 Overview
When it comes to dive watches, only one can reign supreme. Not only is the Rolex Submariner definitely the most iconic dive watch in world history but it also might be the most recognizable watch in the world. Since the birth of the Rolex Submariner, it has taken on many different looks all while maintaining its original DNA. This particular Rolex Submariner reference, 124060, has a no date, black ceramic bezel, black dial, and oyster bracelet. That isn’t everything though. Housed in the Rolex Submariner 124060 stainless steel 3230 in-house calibre movement.
2020 was the year that the Rolex Submariner collection got a massive overhaul which included new case and bracelet dimensions but most notably a new movement. We’ll cover the movement briefly in this article but if you’d like a more in-depth article, please read our 3230 & 3235 calibre reviews.

Movement
Until recently Rolex was falling behind to brands like Omega with their new Master Chronometer Co-Axial movements but with the introduction of the 3230 Rolex seems to be back up top. The Rolex Submariner 124060 in-house calibre 3230 has a power reserve of 70 hours, -2/+2 seconds per day accuracy (COSC), bi-directional winding rotor, paramagnetic blue parachrom hairspring, and has a predicted service interval of ~10 years.
Where Rolex stepped up its game was with the anti-magnetic strength of the movement. We are constantly surrounded by appliances that can interfere with a movement’s accuracy and now the Rolex Submariner 124060 doesn’t need to worry about it.
Oyster Bracelet
The Rolex Submariner 124060 is equipped with the famous Oyster bracelet and oyster clasp. Being made up of stainless steel, perfectly defined dimensions, and sturdy clasp, you would be hard pressed to find a better bracelet out there other than the Jubilee.
