Jaeger LeCoultre 925 Calibre Review
The Jaeger Lecoultre 925 movement is the current calibre powering the JLC Master Ultra Thin Moon. This completely in-house JLC 925 movement stands out from the crowd because it provides the beautiful function of a moon phase complication. Staying in true form to most JLC movements, the Jaeger Lecoultre 925 movement is slim which allows it to be inserted into a dressier case size.
Featured in the automatic Jaeger LeCoultre 925 movement is 253 mechanical components and 30 jewels. The sum of these parts allow the calibre to operate at 28,800 vibrations per hour (vph) and have a power reserve of roughly 38-42 hours.

Features & Complications Of The JLC 925 Movement
4 hands are displayed for the JLC 925 movement. We have the central hour, minute, second, and date hand which are all highly polished and very legible. The two complications other than telling time with this calibre are date and moon phase, both located on the 6 o’clock sub-dial.
The Jaeger LeCoultre 925 Movement Moon Phase Complication
The icon Jaeger LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Moon is housed with the in-house 925 calibre. This design element is what JLC is most known for other than the Reverso. In most modern models, the moon is highly polished and is set above a darker contrast background. To set the moon phase to the correct location there is a micro-pusher located at the 8 o’clock position on the case. This allows quick setting if the watch has lost its power reserve.
Additional Notes
One aspect that is different about the Jaeger LeCoultre 925 movement is that it has a unidirectional rotor. That means that the self-winding rotor of the 925 calibre only winds the watch in 1 direction instead of 2.
