The new S&G Black Bay GMT is the second release for this collection that originally launched in 2018 with the Pepsi. It’s impossible to ignore the similarities between the Black Bay GMT S&G and the Rolex Root Beer. The relationship between the two brands is unmistakable but in our opinion that is a good thing. The S&G Black Bay GMT has enough of its own DNA and maybe the best part about it is that it can be purchased for much less than a Root Beer.

The collection that has been the most popular over the last few years is the Black Bay Chrono. Tudor decided to expand that collection by adding a two tone version with a champaign dial. Personally I think this reference is the best out of them all and is a bargain at $7,250 MSRP.

The watch that was received the most significant upgrades from the 2022 Tudor watch release was the original Black Bay. Those upgrades included a new in-house movement, clasp, and jubilee bracelet. The ladies got something during the 2022 Tudor watches launch at Watches & Wonders 2022. The recently released Royal collection by Tudor quickly got new references featuring more gold, diamonds, and exotic dials. What this release tells us is that the Royal collection has been a massive hit with the ladies and Tudor is giving the women more of what they want.
